TIME OUT … knowing when it’s time to throw in the towel

We have all exchanged our fair share on the pros and cons of social media.  For me facebook is one area that continues to surface gems for me, and through which I inadvertently “evangelise” to my followers.  This morning was one of those “gems”, as I read a posting “Suicide does not end the chances of Life getting worse.  Suicide eliminates the possibility of it ever getting better.

On a daily basis we commit suicide – when we choose not to mend broken friendships and family relationships; when we choose to give up on fulfilling our passion because the going has gotten tough; when we choose not to empathise with another’s plight; when we choose not to draw on the inner power within us.

I guess the big question for us all is how do we know when to throw in the towel, how do we discern between when what we are doing is suicide, versus understanding when the act of giving up, is the suicide.

I have found that by taking “Time Out” to just be still, to just BE, surfaces for me the affirmations and confirmations that I need to make my choices.  What works for you???
